Job summary

New Pioneer Food Co-op is seeking a kitchen support role to help keep the bakery and kitchen areas clean and organized. You will wash dishware, return items to storage, and ensure equipment is sanitized to health standards. Responsibilities

• Perform regularly scheduled dishwashing shifts.
• Return equipment and utensils to storage locations.
• Sanitize, organize, and maintain kitchen and bakery dish area, walk-ins, and storage areas to standards.
• Remove all trash and recyclable items to designated areas.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working order and report repairs.
• Assist prepared foods team members as assigned.
• Attend designated meetings.
• Start each shift prepared and in uniform.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform regularly scheduled dishwashing shifts.
• Return equipment & utensils back to storage locations for use
• Sanitize, organize, and maintain kitchen & bakery dish area, walk‑ins and storage areas to Co‑op and health department standards.
• Remove all trash and recyclable items to designated areas.
• Ensure equipment is in clean and working order and advise supervisor of repairs and replacement needs.
• Assist prepared foods team members as assigned
• Attend designated food service, store, and staff meetings
• Start each shift at your workstation, dressed appropriately and ready to begin
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the lead or supervisor

Additional Information:

Candidates must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. throughout shift, stand for long periods, and reach, pull, push, turn, stoop, and bend frequently during shift.

Position involves working a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
