Utility (Dishwasher) - Full and Part Time

Position Overview

This role primarily involves serving in Dining Services, including dishwashing, receiving and stocking supplies, transporting and delivering food for outside catering, plating food, and cleaning. Responsibilities include washing and storing dishes, pots, and pans; restocking trays and flatware; and possibly food and beverage preparation, documentation, following menus and recipes, inventory management, and maintaining product standards. Adherence to sanitation, food handling, safety policies, and maintaining high-quality service to residents is essential. The role may also involve driving the catering van for daily catering services.

Compensation

Based on experience and qualifications, the starting pay ranges from $13.75 to $17.38 per hour.

Work Schedule

• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some weekends possible
• Up to 80 hours per pay period

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Knowledge of HACCP and OSHA protocols
• Detail-oriented with basic math skills
• Ability to read, speak, and understand basic English; follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to act independently in routine and emergency situations
• Self-motivated, able to participate in holiday activities, and maintain positive relationships with residents and staff
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
• Willing to cross-train in various duties within Dining Services
• Professional, tactful interaction with residents, families, and the public
• Ability to understand and execute assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to stand for long hours, restock supplies, and lift up to 50 pounds
