Location: Water Pig Pensacola Beach

We are looking for a dedicated dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The dishwasher’s duties include removing soiled plates and flatware from tables, washing them thoroughly, restocking items, unloading delivery trucks, helping prepare cook stations, cleaning appliances and machines, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and other duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to facilitate high-volume production.
• Label and stock ingredients for easy access.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings accurately.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Set up workstations and ingredients for food preparation.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
• Prepare simple dishes like salads and entrees.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Ensure proper storage of food and items.
• Follow nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Complete food and station prep before restaurant opening for prompt service.
• Prepare and display buffet food items per hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in produce, fish, dairy, and meats.
• Follow recipes accurately, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Cook meats, vegetables, fish, poultry using various methods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of dishwashing or kitchen experience, hospitality preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or scheduled formats.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of reservation and POS systems preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and operating software preferred.
• Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Team player attitude.
