Responsibilities

• Set up, loads, runs and unloads the dish machine.
• Monitors dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Scrub pots and pans; maintain adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Stores clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places; stock and maintain supplies.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean, organized and safe.
• Interact daily with staff and assist wait staff when necessary.
• Perform duties as requested by Chefs or Kitchen Lead Cook.

Full Time Dishwasher Position:

Hours can be scheduled between 8am and 8pm including weekends.

The Dishwasher's responsibility is to clean all equipment and wares used for the operation of the kitchen and dining areas in our Independent Living venues and maintain a clean and organized dish area. Our Kitchen staff is team oriented, high energy, meaningful work, and offers competitive pay.

What you'll do:

• Sets up, loads, runs and unloads the dish machine
• Monitors dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Scrub pots and pan
• Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in accordance with standards
• Stores clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places
• Stock and maintain supplies and equipment
• Follow all food safely and sanitation guidelines
• Ensures that dishes are readily available for the next meal
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen
• Keep floors clean and dry
• Interact every day with staff and team
• May assist wait staff with serving and bringing in dishes to the kitchen, when necessary
• Perform any duties as requested by Chefs or Kitchen Lead Cook

Experience and Education

• Ability to communicate effectively to fulfill position responsibilities
• Previous experience in food preparation preferred, but not required
• Previous experience working in a restaurant, catering business, or hotel kitchen highly desirable
• Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
