Job Description

This role involves performing and directing advanced journey-level and master-level construction, building trades, and mechanical work related to constructing facilities and maintaining associated systems and equipment.

Examples of Duties
  1. Administrative: Review project plans and blueprints, inspect projects for progress and quality, coordinate with utility companies, property owners, contractors, and engineers, verify materials and costs, supervise construction phases, and evaluate work performance.
  2. Construction: Build and maintain structures such as buildings, bridges, and airport facilities; operate heavy equipment; read blueprints; and perform engineering activities.
  3. Trades/Maintenance: Lead in concrete work, carpentry, steel erection, plumbing, electrical work, and landscaping; perform minor repairs and tune-ups on equipment.
  4. Miscellaneous: Maintain records, train staff, draw construction plans, inspect sites, and coordinate search and rescue efforts if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of construction methods and trades work. Experience in operating construction equipment, performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, reading plans, and supervising trades activities. Ability to evaluate performance, organize materials, and provide training.

Additional Requirements

Physical ability to lift approximately 100 pounds, work at heights up to 50 feet, and work in all weather conditions.
