Working alongside experienced engineers and utility professionals, you'll learn how to coordinate utility relocations, build relationships with utility owners, and play an important role in delivering transportation and infrastructure projects across North Carolina.

Who are you?

You enjoy working with people just as much as solving problems. You're organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Whether you're reviewing plans, coordinating with utility companies, or communicating project updates, you know how to keep projects moving forward. You have experience working with engineering plans or CAD software and are excited to continue learning. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are looking for a long‑term career where you can continue developing your technical knowledge and project management skills.

What will you be doing?

You'll gain experience reviewing relocation packages, preparing project documentation, attending meetings with utility owners, and learning NCDOT policies and procedures while working alongside experienced team members.

Where will you be working?

This position is preferably based in our Raleigh headquarters, located in the highly desirable Glenwood South district of downtown Raleigh. However, we are willing to consider candidates who would like to work out of one of our five other regional office locations including Winston‑Salem, Hickory, Greenville, and Wilmington, NC or Columbia, SC.
