The Utility Coordinator works closely with engineers, utility companies, contractors, and NCDOT to coordinate utility relocation efforts for transportation projects. In this role, you'll review engineering plans, identify potential utility conflicts, communicate project updates, coordinate schedules, and help move projects through each stage of the utility coordination process. You'll gain experience reviewing relocation packages, preparing project documentation, attending meetings with utility owners, and learning NCDOT policies and procedures while working alongside experienced team members.
This position is preferably based in our Raleigh headquarters, located in the highly desirable Glenwood South district of downtown Raleigh. However, we are willing to consider candidates who would like to work out of one of our five other regional office locations including Winston‑Salem, Hickory, Greenville, and Wilmington, NC or Columbia, SC.
