The City of Plano is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and people-focused Utility Compliance Superintendent to lead two essential teams responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting critical utility infrastructure, and supporting the reliable delivery of water and wastewater services to our community. This leadership position oversees the Preventative Maintenance Group and the Backflow Division, providing strategic direction, fostering teamwork, and promoting a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Leading a team of 26 employees, including two Supervisors, you'll guide the daily operations of both divisions while empowering your staff to succeed. From overseeing water quality monitoring, sewer maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance to managing cross-connection control, backflow inspections, and enforcement activities, you'll help ensure the City's utility systems continue to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with state regulations.
