Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by sacking purchases and assisting in general store operations in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Office Manager.

Status: Non-exempt position.

Knowledge

• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan.
• Possibly obtaining a valid liquor license before starting work.

Skills

Essential Job Functions

• Use proper bagging techniques to minimize product damage, maximize efficiency, and prevent shrinkage.
• Follow Cosentino's Customer Service Standards.
• Answer customer questions accurately and courteously by knowing store items, procedures, and policies.
• Deliver groceries to customers' vehicles when requested.
• Help customers locate items in the store.
• Retrieve and ensure carts are safe and clean for customer use.
• Conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor, cashier stands, and restrooms.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations, and promote compliance among team members.
• Operate, clean, and maintain equipment safely.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Apply basic math and reading skills required for the role.

Non-Essential Job Functions

Physical Abilities

• Push and pull grocery items and carts, up to 25 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods on hard surfaces.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
• Bend, squat, and work in cooler environments.
• Climb ladders up to 5 ft if necessary.
