Job summary

Magnera Corporation is seeking a dependable forklift operator at our Washington plant to perform daily inspections, operate equipment safely, and manage core and packaging movement along the lines.

You will cut cores to specification, transport materials, keep storage areas organized, load finished goods, and maintain cleanliness while adhering to ISO training and safety standards. A 12-hour shift and strong attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
• Mathematical Skills: Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide).
• Reasoning Ability: Problem solving ability.
• Qualification Requirements: Have an excellent attendance record.
• Have an excellent safety record.
• Completion of ISO training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing daily inspections of the forklift and operating it in a safe and controlled manner.
• Responsible for cutting cores for all lines.
• Responsible for minimizing core waste by cutting all cores within specification.
• Responsible for transporting all packaging supplies to the appropriate lines, then returning them to their designated storage area.
• Responsible for transporting all boxed materials to the appropriate lines, then returning them to the designated return area.
• Responsible for maintaining the core and corrugated storage areas in an organized and controlled manner.
• Responsible for transporting all finished goods to the loading docks and loading the products onto the shuttles or outbound trailers.
• Responsible for unloading any materials that may be received at the plant from shuttles or inbound trailers.
• Responsible for gathering and taking out all garbage and dumping it in the appropriate dumpsters.
• Responsible for ensuring that all materials brought into the plant are clean and free of any foreign debris.
