Oldcastle is seeking a Utility Worker for National Pipe & Plastics operations in Colfax, NC. The role oversees lines, inspects pipe, and assists extrusion operations to minimize rejects.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, and communicate effectively. The job emphasizes safety, teamwork, and following procedures on a 1st shift schedule with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Accurately inspects pipe with inspection tools
• Demonstrates ability to identify when the product doesn't meet specification and standards, and escalation scale
• Properly stack and band pallets
• Follow scrap pipe procedure
• Assists Extruder Operators during start-up/shutdown operations
• Keeps area clean at all times
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment.
