Job summary

Oakworks Inc. is seeking a Utility Assembler to join our production floor. You will assemble metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes learning, cross training, and teamwork.

Starting at $19.50/hour with a 4-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 10 hours/day). Pay increases as you train in more areas; trained employees can rise in steps with each area completed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and assemble electrical & mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Produce and assemble metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products.
• Cross-train across production areas to advance pay and skills.
• Support quality, manufacturing processes and teamwork on the floor.

This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and a positive attitude!The Utility Assembler position promotes cross training opportunities to help you advance your career at Oakworks. The more areas employees train in, their pay rate increases!Train in 3 areas- receive $1.00/ hour increaseTrain in 5 areas- receive an additional $.50/hourTrain in 8 areas- receive an additional $.50/hourQualifications:Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.Experience: 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred. Medical product development or other regulated assembly industry experience is preferred.• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical ability (Read Drawings, Assemble Electrical & Mechanical Components, and Validate Quality)• Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience preferred.• Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.Physical Requirements:• Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis• Ability to lift/reach/bend/stretch in manufacturing environment• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time on a daily basis• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisEqual Opportunity Employer and M/F/Vets/Disability
