We are seeking a Utility and Systems Manager for the National Ignition Facility (NIF), which is the world's most powerful and energetic laser facility operated 24/7. You will coordinate the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of NIF utility and facility systems, interface with the NIF operational and maintenance teams, the National Ignition Facility and Photon Science (NIF&PS) Directorate facility management team, and the LLNL Operations & Business maintenance organizations. In addition, you will provide reliability leadership for the NIF utility and facility assets with the development and implementation of reliability metrics, asset performance monitoring, and condition-based maintenance. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, technicians, craft personnel, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure successful asset reliability management. This position is in Directorate Operation in the National Ignition Facility and Photon Science Directorate.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
$154,950 - $235,692 Annually
$154,950 - $196,476 Annually for the TSS.3 level
$185,850 - $235,692 Annually for the TSS.4 level
This is the lowest to highest salary in good faith would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
