Job summary

Covia is seeking a dynamic Utility employee to support the Operations team at the Troy Grove, IL Resin location. You will operate skid steer, track mobile, forklift and related equipment, while recording data for quality, environmental and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills (email, Windows, Office).
• Ability to climb ladders and rail cars.
• Experience operating fork trucks, pallet jack, track mobile, skid steer.
• Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer, track mobile, and forklift.
• Load railcars, trucks, and silos; operate process equipment.
• Record data for quality, environmental and safety.
• Perform general plant maintenance and housekeeping.
• Load/unload liquid bulk tanker trucks.
• Place railroad cars using car puller/track mobile.
• Adhere to PPE and safe chemical handling procedures.

Covia is looking for a dynamic Utility employee who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Troy Grove, IL Resin location.

Responsibilities

• Operating Skid Steer / Track Mobile / Lift Truck
• Operating process equipment and loading railcars, trucks and silos
• Operate process equipment
• Record all necessary data for Quality, Environmental and Safety as required by Company procedures and policies
• General maintenance of plant grounds and equipment
• Ability to lift 100 pounds
• Placing railroad cars using Car Puller / Track Mobile
• Ability load/unload liquid bulk tanker trucks
• Use of proper PPE, safe chemical handling and storage
• General clean-up

Minimum Qualifications
