Job summary

Henny Penny in Eaton, OH is seeking an Entry Utility Operator to independently set up Spot Welding, Stud Welding and Clinch Studding machines and fabricate parts to standard. You will follow Kanban processes in JDE, use process sheets and drawings, and ensure high-quality, timely work.

You will repair defects, troubleshoot misalignments, and maintain a safe, clean workspace while meeting production goals in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–3 years of experience in spot and stud welding and clinch studding.
• Able to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.
• Able to stand for 8 hours or more.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle screen if applicable.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Able to understand Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.

General Description

The Entry Utility Operator role is responsible for independently running basic setup for Spot Welding, Stud Welding and Clinch Studding machines and fabricating parts to standard.

Accountabilities

• Understands how to correctly use the following functions within JDE programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)
• Utilizes and maintains Drawings, Non-Cad Process Sheets, Fab to Order and Operating Instructions.
• Has knowledge of all fixtures in department assigned.
• Ability to repair most defects independently.
• Trouble shoots machine misalignments.
• Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap.
• Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Completes all required work within expected time requirements with excellent quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1- 3 years of experience in spot and stud welding and clinch studding.
• Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to maneuver and hold large parts.
• Ability read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
