Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Utility Technician in Idaho to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, and compressed air equipment. Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Maintain steam supply system including manual and automated valves, heat exchanger, and condensate traps.
• Maintain and operate high pressure boilers and feed water.
• Service traps and water feed for boilers and heat exchangers.
• Evaluate all parts of the steam or condensate systems and adjust as necessary.
• Dismantle and repair any malfunctioning components associated with the boiler systems.
• Take water tests, maintain chemical levels in the boiler, and adjust as necessary.
• Communicate and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate ammonia compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, evaporators, plate and shell-and-tube exchangers.
• Understand and follow safe practices for ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Install, repair, tear down and rebuild system components on all phases of refrigeration and heating systems in the plant.
• Evacuate all or any part of the ammonia refrigeration systems in the plant.
• Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments.
• Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
