Job summary

Leprino Foods Company in Roswell, NM is seeking skilled Utility Technicians to support a 24/7 operation at our Roswell manufacturing facility.

Starting compensation typically ranges between $33.79/hr and $39.07/hr, with a shift differential of $1.25/hr from 6 PM to 6 AM. You will maintain steam generation, refrigeration, water treatment, HVAC and related safety systems while following GMP and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to work nights, days, holidays, weekends and rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs., climb stairs, vertical ladders and inclined ladders, and work with arms extended.
  • Must differentiate colors and smells.
  • Must wear PPE and work in confined spaces as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and operation of steam generation, refrigeration, compressed air systems, water treatment, fire systems and HVAC subsystems.
  • Comply with regulatory agencies (PSM, NMDA, EPA, OSHA, NMED, SQF).
  • Attend training sessions and schools (onsite or travel within the U.S.).
  • Maintain GMP and housekeeping.
  • Read, comprehend procedures and manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with production, other maintenance technicians and management.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and problem-solve issues.
  • Work in high-noise areas and extreme temperatures.
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and PPE as required.

Within our 600-person Roswell manufacturing facility, we are seeking Utility Technicians to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $33.79/hrand$39.07/hr.Shift differential pay is$1.25/hrfrom 6 PM - 6 AM.

We Ask of You to:
  • Maintenance and operation of steam generation, refrigeration, compressed air systems, water treatment, fire systems and HVAC including subsystems contained in each area.
  • Comply to regulatory agencies, including but not limited to, PSM, NMDA, EPA, OSHA, NMED, SQF etc.
  • Be able to attend training sessions and schools, whether onsite or traveling within the U.S.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices at all times, including good housekeeping.
  • Perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Read and comprehend procedures and manuals.
  • Communicate well between production department, other maintenance technicians and department management.
  • Problem-solve and trouble shoot equipment.
  • Work in high noise areas and extreme temperature changes.
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Be willing to support a 24/7 operation by being available to work weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to work nights, days, holidays, weekends and rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to55 lbs., climb stairs, vertical ladders and inclined ladders, work with arms fully extended in front of body and above head. Must also be able to squat, kneel, crawl, lie on back and stomach, work in environments with varying degrees of temperature, work around chemical fumes, work in tight spaces and around sharp edges and work with hammering and impact tools.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors and smells.
  • Must be able to wear and work wearing APR,SCBA and/or PPE
  • Must be able to work comfortably at different heights and enter confined spaces
