This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, including foodservice operators, grocery stores, manufacturers, and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Utilities Supervisor will coordinate the deployment of maintenance practices in alignment with production needs at the Cargill Protein production facility in Camp Hill, PA. You will supervise a utilities team responsible for activities that maintain capacity utilization and quality standards, ensuring reliable operations for the facility.

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate the execution of the utilities department and manage assets involved with containing, controlling, or safeguarding high hazard processes.
• Lead third-party contractors to set strategies and execute projects, upgrades, and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration equipment, supporting contractors with project parameters.
• Implement methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards.
• Assist with integrating contractor partners and equipment, providing support to the plant operations team.
• Partner with regional and facility leadership to support area leading practices.
• Exercise authority over personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, while also performing tasks similar to subordinate employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum one year of related work experience
• Ammonia system experience
• Strong leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous refrigeration experience
• Previous supervisory experience
• Experience coordinating third-party resources to deliver business results
• Caro and/or Ciro certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and take calls occasionally
