The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department (RPU) is accepting applications for the position ofUTILITIES SENIOR WATER ENGINEERto fill one (1) vacancy in theWater Resources Engineering Division. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to twelve (12) months.
Necessary Special Requirements
Highly Desired Qualifications:
Experience in preparing and managing planning-level projects, and programs related to water supply development, water quality, and demand management such as Urban Water Management Plans and Water Supply and Demand Assessment.
Experience managing long-range water resources studies and planning investigations, and programs related to groundwater basin management and optimization, groundwater development, surface water capture, and recharge, recycled water, and conservation.
Experience coordinating with State and Federal regulatory agencies; and, outside agencies and/or entities (USFW, SWRCB, RWQCB, CDFW, SAWPA, surrounding water agencies, and alike).
Experience preparing Board and Council reports.
Passion for solving complex engineering problems, and desire to develop and mentor other engineers.
