Utilities Repair Technician - $5,000 Sign On Bonus

Join Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN, as a Utilities Repair Technician. We are seeking experienced professionals to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment, including HVAC, pumps, boilers, and automation systems.

Position Details:

• 2nd & 3rd Shift
• Starting pay: $36.36/hour + 6% Shift Premium

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of utilities, test cells, and related equipment.
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems, bearings, HVAC, and control systems.
• Operate and maintain boilers, pumps, cranes, conveyors, and robots.
• Read mechanical prints, perform welding and pipefitting, and align machinery.
• Support production with overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of industrial utilities and repair experience.
• HVAC training and practical experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including compressors and valves.
• Proven boiler operation skills.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical print reading skills.
• Welding, cutting, and tool operation skills.
• Experience with ABB robots is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment involving bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
