Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology team at the Belle, WV site. You will provide mechanical engineering support for utilities, lead RCFA, and collaborate on best practices with MIQA to improve equipment reliability and safety.

You will develop maintenance plans, analyze trends, and drive projects with a team focused on life‑cycle cost reductions and process safety. A degree in mechanical engineering and factory experience are required.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing role (could include internship or co‑op).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time‑sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support to the utilities area for troubleshooting, improving equipment and facilities, and PSM (Process Safety Management) related activities.
  • Provide engineering expertise for project design work to ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering standards, and quality assurance.
  • Lead RCFA for equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with MIQA lead on best practices implementation.
  • Develop equipment maintenance plans including checks and predictive maintenance performed by operations and mechanics for non‑capital changes.
  • Lead PSM criticality assessment to support MIQA effort, including spare parts identification and maintenance procedures.
  • Analyze equipment trends, data, and uptime to justify improvements for lower life cycle cost.
  • Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices.
