Job summary

The City of Anaheim Public Utilities Department (APU) seeks a bright, detail-oriented Utilities Analyst I to support procurement and materials management for Orange County's only municipal utility providing both electric and water services to one of California's largest cities, home to 350,000 residents, 20,000 businesses, and 25 million yearly visitors.

Working closely with the Utilities Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Utilities Analyst I will help ensure materials and equipment are planned

Qualifications

Two years of analytical experience in finance, administration, or related areas, preferably in a public utility environment.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as listed in Education; equivalent combinations allowed.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, implement, and oversee administrative, operational, and financial programs.
Conduct data analysis, surveys, and research; prepare graphs and charts; present findings.
Prepare Requests for Proposal, evaluate bids, and support contract negotiations.
Develop economic analyses for water and power supply contracts and other projects.
Maintain metrics to track performance and update cost/benefit methodologies.
