Role Summary:

At the Baldwinsville Brewery, the Utilities Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of industrial utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration, glycol systems, HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, and steam generation. The technician monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains these systems to ensure smooth brewery operations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate utility systems such as steam, CO2 collection, ammonia refrigeration, dehumidification, compressed air, and water treatment.
2. Perform chemical treatments for boilers and cooling towers.
3. Manage processes, perform basic maintenance, lubrication, housekeeping, and sanitation.
4. Document activities and respond to shift responsibilities.
5. Assist customer departments with utility system optimization and isolation requests.
6. Participate actively in the brewery’s HAZWOPER emergency response team, including donning PPE up to OSHA level A when required.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with automated process control systems.
• Desired experience in boilers, ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, cooling towers, and CO2 systems.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
