DC Army National Guard is seeking qualified individuals for the Utilities Equipment Repairer specialty. You will learn to maintain and repair electrical motors, instruments, and various fuel/electrical systems, with opportunities to apply skills in civilian industries after training.

Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training, followed by a civilian-ready skillset. Earn while you learn through drill pay and tuition assistance, with benefits supporting service members and families.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems, air conditioner vapor systems, refrigeration unit electrical systems, portable heater fuel/electrical systems, fire extinguisher recharging systems and fire extinguishers/valves
