Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Utilities Equipment Repairer to maintain and repair utilities equipment and support systems both on and off the battlefield.

You will develop skills in testing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, with a path to civilian work across industries. Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with benefits such as tuition assistance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair utilities equipment and special-purpose support systems.
• Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems and related equipment.
• Inspect and repair electric instruments, replace worn gaskets, and seal watertight electrical equipment.
• Maintain gasoline engine systems, air conditioner electrical systems, and portable heater fuel/electrical systems.
