Job summary

The Boston Beer Company is seeking a motivated Co-op to join our Engineering team at the Breinigsville Brewery in Pennsylvania. This six‑month program runs January 4, 2027, through June 25, 2027, and is fully onsite.

You will support utilities optimization and continuous improvement, gain hands‑on experience in process engineering, cost saving analysis, and project execution, and collaborate with operations to identify efficiency opportunities and develop business cases.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must continue to be enrolled in school upon completion of the co-op.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and perform engineering calculations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain P&IDs to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational requirements.
• Calculate utility costs and quantify savings opportunities across manufacturing operations.
• Analyze utility consumption data and support efforts to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Collaborate to identify and justify utility savings opportunities; assist with business-case development.
• Support engineering initiatives and operational start-up activities as needed.
• Maintain project documentation, calculations, and engineering records; prepare reports and presentations.
