Job summary

Koch Companies seeks a Utilities Engineer in Lincoln to support safe, reliable operation of critical utility systems including electrical distribution, steam, water, and HVAC. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop long-term strategies to improve equipment effectiveness and reliability.

Collaborate with operators, maintenance, engineering, and production teams; lead investigations and implement preventive actions to reduce risk and improve safety, quality, and energy

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in industrial utility systems and reliability concepts.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and preventive maintenance.
• Experience leading capital projects and contractor management.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, reliable operation of electrical, steam, water, compressed air, and treatment systems.
• Monitor asset performance and key KPIs to identify trends and uptime improvements.
• Develop long-term asset strategies including maintenance and spare-parts.
• Troubleshoot issues with operators and maintenance teams; prioritize safety.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct capacity and energy-efficiency assessments; implement improvements.
• Plan and execute utility and facility projects from planning to handover.
• Prepare specifications, evaluate proposals, supervise contractors, and manage budgets.
• Maintain P&ID drawings and records.
• Coach operators on safe operation and best practices.
• Engage stakeholders and contribute to capital initiatives.
