Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp is seeking a hands-on machinist for an onsite role in California. You will operate a drill press, perform basic machine adjustments, deburr parts, and measure with calipers to meet unit targets.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to work instructions, with a focus on continuous process improvement and ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a conventional drill press per lead's instructions.
• Make necessary machine adjustments, such as simple time and pressure corrections to maintain part target size.
• Use required tools to break sharp edges on various products (files, Dremel, grinders, deburring wheels, carbide bits, Scotchbrite, emery cloth, sandpaper, polishing wheels).
• Understand basic machining measurements for stock removal.
• Measure parts with a caliper and check threads with a thread gauge.
• Follow verbal and written instructions on orders; communicate process information back for improvements.
• Sit and stand frequently; move between work areas including wash tank and gauging area.
• Lift at least 25 lbs, 50 lbs with assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Pay Range $21 to $23 per hour DOE

Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role responsibilities, candidate's work experience, skills and education.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ability to operate a conventional drill press per lead's instructions.


• Ability to make necessary machine adjustment, such as simple time and pressure corrections to maintain part target size.


• Use the required tools to break sharp edges on various types of product(s), i.e., files, electric Dremels, pneumatic die grinders, deburring wheels, carbide bits, Scotchbrite, emery cloth, sandpaper and polishing wheels.


• Ability to understand basic machining measurements, necessary for stock removal.


• Able to measure parts with a caliper and check threads with thread gage.


• Ability to follow verbal instruction in order to meet cell objectives.


• Ability to follow written instructions on printed work orders.


• Ability to communicate process information back to the lead for process improvement.


• Ability to sit and stand frequently throughout the shift, this also includes repeated walking from work area, to wash tank and to the part gauging area.


• Other duties as assigned.


• Able to lift at least 25 lbs, 50 lbs. with assistance.
