Job summary

Utica, NY — An established private nephrology practice is seeking a nephrologist to join the team and rapidly build a patient base in a growing referral network. This is a two-year path to partnership with leadership and growth opportunities.

The incoming physician will handle primarily new consults with APP support for CKD care and dialysis rounds, across one-hospital coverage, offering schedule autonomy and an improved call ratio with the new arrival.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board-eligible or -certified in Nephrology.
• Completion of an accredited U.S. Internal Medicine and Nephrology fellowship program.
• Current unrestricted New York medical license or ability to obtain one.
• H-1B sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates.
• Unable to pursue ABIM Pathway E for board certification.

Responsibilities

• Join an established private nephrology practice serving Central New York.
• Receive majority of new consults and build your own patient base quickly.
• Path to partnership after two years and leadership opportunities.
• CKD care and dialysis rounding supported by APPs, with hospital coverage.
• Flexible schedule with autonomy in call structure.

Excellent opportunity for a newly graduating or experienced nephrologist to join an established, independent private nephrology practice serving Central New York for approximately 25 years. The practice has a strong presence in the community, an established referral network, and a growing patient base.

The incoming physician will receive the majority of new consults, providing an excellent opportunity to quickly build their own patient base. With future succession planning underway, this position also offers a meaningful opportunity for long-term partnership, leadership and practice growth.
