Job description

Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.

The UT Tyler School of Medicine - Department of Surgery is currently recruiting a faculty member specializing in colorectal surgery. The candidate must be Board-Certified or eligible in General Surgery, have completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship, and be eligible for a Texas Medical License.

Requirements:

  1. Perform all aspects of colorectal surgical procedures at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  2. Maintain academic affiliation with UT Tyler School of Medicine, including involvement in medical education, resident, and fellow training.
  3. Hold an MD or DO degree.
  4. Be Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery with completed colorectal fellowship and Texas Medical License eligibility.
  5. Demonstrate commitment to patient care, medical education, and scholarly activity.
  6. Provide clinical training for general surgery residents and colorectal surgery fellows.
  7. Have experience in laparoscopic or robotic surgery.
