Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is looking for Level II UT Shear Wave Inspectors to conduct ultrasonic inspections on welds, components, and hull sections at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. This role is vital for ensuring safety and reliability in our advanced submarine construction.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Level II UT Shear Wave certification, and the ability to maintain a security clearance. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to quality, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current or previous certification (within last 2 years) as Level II UT Shear Wave.
• Ability to grind joints and clear indications as needed throughout the inspection process.

Responsibilities

• Perform UT volumetric inspection duties throughout the facility.
• Verify and certify work according to specifications.
• Record and report inspection results.
