Job description

Columbus, OH — The U.S. Trotting Association is seeking a Racetrack Support Specialist, a key support role that offers the right candidate an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on harness racing while working in a collaborative, professional environment.

The Racetrack Support Specialist will provide technical and educational support to USTA members, racetracks and officials for a variety of USTA systems, including eTrack, Fines and Suspensions (FAS), eProgram Stand, and other online services with the organization. Serving as the first point of contact for racetrack system-related inquiries, the position plays an important role in helping tracks and officials operate efficiently and consistently.

Key responsibilities include training and supporting member tracks and track officials on USTA systems and online services; reviewing and processing license applications; monitoring and entering data in the USTA Fines and Suspensions system, which are posted on the association’s website.

Additional duties include maintaining legal and track membership files, creating and updating user manuals, participating in product development, system testing, and training initiatives, and serving as a liaison with the USTA systems development team. The position also requires logging and documenting support inquiries and their resolutions.

Candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office and USTA software applications, familiarity with USTA rules and regulations, and strong leadership, training, and customer support skills, along with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid position that requires Ohio residency and regular in-office attendance.
