Please use loom.com and Google Slides to create a short, screen-recorded lecture that teaches students about any topic in your preferred subject area. Keep your video under 10 minutes; this is simply for us to get a sense of your teaching style.
You don’t need to teach every aspect of the topic or prerequisite knowledge. Focus on the highest-yield information for Step 2 CK. Feel free to use images from across the internet to enhance your explanation. This video will not be published and is for internal review only.
Choose any topic within one of the following specialties:
Internal Medicine
Family Medicine
Pediatrics
OBGYN
Surgery
Your topic might be a focused review on one specific condition, covering its pathogenesis/ etiology, clinical presentation, diagnostics, management, and complications (if applicable).
Or, you could do a comparison-style overview, where you contrast multiple conditions in a differential diagnosis-style format.
To give you some inspiration, here's an example of Dr. Roviso reviewing choledocholithiasis:
Strong visual component with the use of diagrams and/or highlighting to capture attention
Presentation flows and feels natural (ie, not reading off a script, edited where appropriate)
Use of memory tools and mnemonics as appropriate
