Job summary

Metalsa seeks a Trade Compliance professional to own regulatory compliance and optimize operational efficiency for U.S. and Canada trade operations. You will clear imports and exports, manage risk from changing trade laws, and guide internal teams on regulatory changes.

You will work hands-on with ACE (U.S.) and CARM (Canada), run volume analysis for ~530 monthly operations, and liaise with cross-functional teams including plants, finance and sourcing to ensure compliant cross-border flows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Foreign Trade, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in U.S. customs operations and USMCA legislation.
  • Solid knowledge of CBP requirements and Reasonable Care programs.
  • Hands-on ACE experience; CARM experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, and HTSUS classification.
  • Advanced Excel for reporting and duty analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CBP requirements and the Reasonable Care Program.
  • Lead USMCA impact analysis and origin campaigns.
  • Manage customs brokers and track KPIs; oversee invoicing processes.
  • Work in ACE and ACH, and Canada's CARM portal directly.
  • Provide daily follow up for ~530 monthly US/Canada operations.
  • Advise plants, finance and sourcing on foreign trade rules.
