Position Summary

An usher is a vital member of the Arena staff as they are involved in direct contact with the public. As a representative of the CFG Bank Arena, a friendly greeting attached to a smiling face goes a long way in helping our guests enjoy their visit. Providing top-notch customer service is your responsibility. Our ushers will be essential in creating a safe and memorable experience for all guests at CFG Bank Arena. This position is ideal for candidates who want to immerse themselves in an exciting live entertainment environment.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively welcome guests and answer questions.
  • Identify opportunities to create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Perform thorough ticket checks and scans to ensure valid access into arena and other ticketed areas. Contact a supervisor if you encounter an issue with “duplicate tickets.”
  • Provide directions to ticketed seats and other arena locations.
  • Prevent guests from moving from one seat to the next.
  • Respond to and/or escalate guest complaints, concerns, and compliments.
  • Assist guests with reasonable requests for accommodations, including but not limited to wheelchair escort services.
  • Maintain clear portals, aisles, and access paths for guests, staff, and emergency services.
  • Effectively communicate safety and security measures.
  • Report any suspicious activity to supervisors and/or management. Monitor your section for additional and continuous assistance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including walking steps, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time.
Qualifications

Required Experience & Qualifications:

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 70% event availability commitment. Event requirement is subject to change with notice.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in a customer service-based industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience within a sports, entertainment, or related field is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays required.
  • Extensive time spent with moderate to loud noises.
  • Fluctuating temperatures to include hot and cold conditions - external and internal facility exposure.
  • Frequent bending, standing for long periods of time, and walking of the building, including climbing stairs.
  • Exposure to flashing lights.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting personal schedules and extending hours to meet event staffing needs, including securing reliable transportation to and from the arena during non-traditional business hours.
  • Arrive at work in appropriate furnished uniform, refrain from cellphone use in public spaces while on post, and remain on post until dismissed or relieved.
