JPMorganChase seeks an experienced Experience Research Senior Associate to shape user experiences across our products and services. You will lead research studies, translating insights into actionable design recommendations and collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to guide decision-making.

Expertise in ethnography and AI-enabled research is highly valued to influence product strategy and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on experience research concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in generative and evaluative user experience research, employing advanced research methods and techniques
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including survey and interview design, ethnography, and data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of user experience design principles and practices, with a focus on how ethnographic principles influence effective user experiences
  • Advanced understanding of current research methodologies, with the ability to review and understand how to apply current research practices to better inform experience designs
  • Demonstrates proficiency in AI-assisted research methodologies and data analysis
  • Stay on top of AI use for research trends including ethics, privacy, human in the loop, and accountability
  • At least a Master's Degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, HCI, Anthropology, Sociology, or similar), or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working in qualitative or mixed methods user research for digital products
  • Understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, and when and how to apply them in the product development process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work and lead independently and feel comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Familiarity and comfort with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders including product managers, design leads, development leads, and others representing various business needs

Bring your industry trends and knowledge to our team to shape exceptional user experiences through cutting-edge research, influencing product design and functionality. As an Experience Research Senior Associate in Corporate Employee Experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences across our products and services. Leveraging advanced proficiency in research methods, analysis, and both quantitative and qualitative techniques, identify employee needs and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations. You will act as a core contributor to aid in developing research studies that answer user needs. Your work will directly impact the design, architecture, and functionality of our offerings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to contribute to discussions on design and research, and leading the decision on which methods best suit key design questions. Employ a variety of research methodologies, such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluation, ethnographic observations, participatory design, and card sorting. For this position, the hiring team is especially interested in a researcher with expertise in digital ethnography and observation; or a researcher with a skill set focused on innovation in research methodologies. Analyze, synthesize and report on research studies.
