Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced UX leader to drive product vision across a broad design surface for a high-visibility, multilingual product. You will lead cross-functional teams, influence senior leadership, and evolve the design system to scale across web and mobile experiences.

The role requires deep user-centered design expertise, strong executive communication, and a proven track record of delivering complex design initiatives on time with distributed teams.

Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years of experience designing and delivering software products within cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices, using analytics and research to drive decisions and iterations.
  • Strong AI fluency, including experience with emerging AI tools and new workflows.
  • Executive-level communication and active listening, with a track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across product and engineering.
  • Proven experience managing large design initiatives end to end and balancing priorities across disciplines.
  • Mastery of design systems thinking, not just single-purpose apps.

  • Serve as the primary liaison linking design, product, engineering, and marketing across multiple disciplines.
  • Oversee multiple web and mobile features and experiences across a broad product surface.
  • Articulate complex ideas to senior leadership via documentation, reviews, and presentations.
  • Produce prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other collateral to communicate research results and persuade leadership on new ideas.
  • Lead the evolution of design systems by extending the existing style guide, proposing systemic changes, and teaching others the design systems approach.
  • Generate detailed final design specifications to guide accurate developer builds.
  • Collaborate with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished product.
  • Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns across the organization.
  • Mentor designers, support growth opportunities, and partner with recruiting to attract diverse talent.
  • Develop software that is globally accessible, multilingual, and usable for diverse abilities.
  • Champion accessibility and advocate for features and bug fixes that prioritize underrepresented groups, challenging decisions that could cause harm.
  • Set and own the creative identity of the product, clearly communicating the vision to senior leadership and guiding the team through its implementation.

  • Ability to explore ideas, persuade, and build consensus with senior leadership on fast-moving projects with ambiguity and deadlines.
  • Capability to produce original, high-quality design work that meets business needs and appropriate fidelity for each project phase.
  • Executive-level communication and active listening, with a track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across product and engineering, including recruiting diverse talent.
  • Proven experience managing large design initiatives end to end and balancing priorities across disciplines.
  • Commitment to process improvement and driving meaningful changes at team or organizational levels.
  • Mastery of design systems thinking, not just single-purpose apps, including teaching others the design systems approach.
  • Willingness to engage in difficult conversations about ethics and equality, questioning processes that may harm others and speaking up when needed.
  • Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • A related technical degree is required.
  • Experience in E-commerce or app marketplaces is a plus.

Base salary ranges may include additional incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. In the United States, the typical base range is 197,300 to 313,700 annually; in select SF or NYC metro areas, the base range is 237,700 to 344,700 annually.
