Aquent Talent is seeking a User Experience professional to shape intuitive and powerful software experiences for a leading financial services firm. You will facilitate design sessions, translate complex financial concepts into accessible interfaces, and drive decisions within a cross-functional team.

The role emphasizes user empathy, iterative design, rigorous QA, and collaboration with partners to deliver high-quality advisor services platforms across desktop and mobile.

Qualifications

  • Expertise with foundational UX principles.
  • Proven experience executing high-fidelity design.
  • Experience with documentation and project tracking tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Demonstrated ability to design for advisor services platforms, including desktop and responsive mobile interfaces.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to facilitate sessions and drive decisions.
  • Proficiency in creating various design artifacts, including sketches, diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • A commitment to iterative design processes and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in conducting QA for design deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • A user-centered design approach with a focus on empathy and understanding user needs.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to UX design and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions, including sketching and ideation, to drive innovative solutions.
  • Lead design reviews and confidently drive decisions within a multi-faceted team.
  • Create comprehensive design solutions that consider all aspects of the user experience, from consultative interactions to end-client journeys.
  • Faithfully translate established patterns and design systems to ensure consistency and meet strategic objectives.
  • Visualize ideas clearly through sketches, diagrams, wireframes, or prototypes, providing appropriate documentation levels.
  • Set expectations with project teams, prioritize activities, and maintain design schedules.
  • Communicate status and agreements effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Conduct primary design activities, create deliverables, and perform quality assurance at an expert level.
  • Participate in and support user research efforts to inform design decisions.
  • Actively contribute to improving design processes and methods, focusing on both effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with all partners to deliver high-quality work.
  • Support fellow team members and strategically incorporate feedback to guide delivery.
  • Maintain a collaborative and cooperative approach, holding a strong design position while remaining open to new information.
  • Demonstrate a passion for the team, the mission, and the needs of partners and users.
  • Embrace user empathy, understanding user needs by walking in their shoes.
  • Focus on continuous innovation and improvement, regularly learning about design theory, practice, and tools.
