ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a UI/UX Developer who enjoys turning complex business processes into intuitive, modern digital experiences?

Our Client is seeking a talented UI/UX Developer who combines strong user experience design skills with hands-on front-end development expertise.

In this role, you will help transform legacy enterprise applications into responsive, accessible, and user-friendly solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, and development teams, you will uncover existing workflows, translate complex requirements into thoughtful interface designs, and build modern applications that improve efficiency without compromising essential business functionality.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a large-scale modernization initiative, from initial discovery and design through development, testing, and deployment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze existing application interfaces, business workflows, and user interactions to identify requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with business users and technical subject matter experts to uncover undocumented requirements and understand complex operational processes.
• Design user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and intuitive interfaces for stakeholder review and feedback.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and reusable front-end components using modern web technologies.
• Transform complex, data-intensive workflows into intuitive dashboards, forms, navigation structures, tables, and reporting interfaces.
• Modernize legacy application experiences while preserving critical business rules, workflows, and functionality.
• Collaborate with application, database, and integration teams to connect front-end interfaces with APIs, enterprise systems, and SQL Server-backed services.
• Implement input validation, error handling, and meaningful user feedback aligned with business requirements.
• Validate interface functionality and data presentation throughout application modernization and database migration activities.
• Support usability testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, deployment, and production cutover activities.
• Document UI components, design decisions, application workflows, and front-end functionality to support long-term maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience designing and developing user interfaces for enterprise business applications.
• Hands-on experience modernizing legacy applications while preserving essential business processes and functionality.
• Experience developing wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using Figma or comparable design tools.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements and operational workflows into intuitive, practical user experiences.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs and back-end services.
• Experience working with incomplete documentation and collaborating with subject matter experts to reconstruct existing application behavior.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, database specialists, QA testers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the energy industry, measurement systems, operational data environments, or similarly complex data-processing industries.
• Experience designing and developing data-intensive applications featuring advanced tables, filtering, reporting, and exception-management workflows.
• Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, and the impact of database migrations on application functionality.
• Working knowledge of SQL for investigating data issues and validating information displayed within applications.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems integrations, data conversion projects, and production cutovers.
• Experience creating or maintaining design systems, UI standards, and reusable component libraries.
