Job summary

Hiley Automotive Group in Texas is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform certified pre-owned, used car inspections and routine repairs across multiple brands. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities include test-driving vehicles, using diagnostic tools, and communicating with the service team about timeframe and repairs. The position offers growth opportunities and a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Multi-brand vehicle knowledge preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Dexterity and fine motor skills with good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and troubleshoot.
• Good customer service and basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Team player who can collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform Certified Pre-Owned and Used Car inspections and related servicing.
• Complete work on repair orders efficiently per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, electrical, brakes, and other systems.
• Communicate with internal advisors about timeframe and repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform Certified Pre-Owned, Used Car and Cash Car inspections
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the internal advisor and used car director of timeframe, repairs, etc.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications when necessary.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• Multi-brand vehicle knowledge preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
