Job summary

NationaLease is seeking a Shop Porter in Chicago to support a busy truck maintenance environment. You will help check equipment, assist with parts, and support sales and service teams on site.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, basic mechanical knowledge, and a customer‑focused approach. Local travel and a Monday–Friday schedule are typical, with competitive hourly pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurability.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical background.
• Ability to work independently.
• Customer service skills, organizational skills and a positive attitude are required.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order and report issues to location manager.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
• Distribute licensing and install bolt on accessories as needed.
• Pick up parts from various vendors and assist with stocking.

Pay Range: $18 to $25 Depending on Skill and Experience

Job Duties:

Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found

Assist shop as needed
Prepping equipment for final sales
Assist Sales Representative as needed
Assisting Sales Representative to take pictures
Moving equipment on the yard
Refurbishing equipment as needed
Removing decals as needed
Labeling equipment as needed
