Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Farmington is hiring a Used Car Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform scheduled maintenance, and communicate repair details to customers and team. You will work with a professional service team in a world-class dealership with standout guest experiences.

The role requires a complete tool set, independent work style, and a valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR; manual transmission experience is a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Prior automotive technician experience or thorough technical training.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and motivation to increase product knowledge.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Complete, up-to-date set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues.
• Service vehicles for routine maintenance per dealer/manufacturer recommendations.
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts.
• Communicate repair orders and estimated times via ASR to keep all parties updated.
• Inform Shop Foreman of difficulties and need for additional repairs.
• Keep comebacks under 2% as defined by the shop foreman.
• Attend training seminars, shop meetings and service schools.
• Provide responsive customer service and address inquiries.
• Collaborate with team, assist with overtime and parts, help technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency as defined by the shop foreman.
• Practice safe work habits and follow safety policies.
