Job summary

Bowser Automotive Inc. in Monroeville, PA is seeking a Used Cars Service Technician responsible for repairs, inspections and routine maintenance of pre-owned vehicles brought to the dealership.

You will diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment, perform oil changes, tune ups, tire rotations, and service air conditioning and electrical systems while maintaining licenses and complying with Bowser safety policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid state inspection and emission license.
• Valid drivers' license and good driving record.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
• Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment.
• Follow checklists to ensure all checks are conducted on each vehicle.
• Perform basic to advanced maintenance including oil changes, tune ups, transmissions, tire rotations, as well as electronic and air conditioning systems.
• Replace and/or repair worn parts.
• Assist Service Manager and Service Advisers in dealing with customers.
• Explain automotive problems to customers when necessary.
• Maintain all training mandated by the dealership.
• Abide by government regulations.
• Comply with Bowser safety policies and procedures.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
