Job summary

Bowser Automotive Inc. is seeking a Used Cars Service Technician to perform repairs, inspections and routine maintenance on vehicles brought to the dealership.

The technician must keep required inspection and emission licenses up to date to ensure compliance with current mandates and technologies. Responsibilities include testing systems, diagnosing problems with equipment, following checklists, performing oil changes, tune ups, transmissions, tire rotations and climate control work, and

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid state inspection and emission license.
• Valid drivers' license and good driving record.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
• Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment.
• Follow checklists to ensure all checks are conducted on each vehicle.
• Perform basic to advanced maintenance including but not limited to oil changes, tune ups, transmissions, tire rotations, as well as electronic and air conditioning systems.
• Replace and/or repair worn parts.
• Assist Service Manager and Service Advisers in dealing with customers.
• Explain automotive problems to customers when necessary.
• Maintain all training mandated by the dealership.
• Abide by government regulations.
• Comply with Bowser safety policies and procedures.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
