Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Lawrenceville is seeking an experienced Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our service team. You will perform mechanical inspections and diagnose issues to bring vehicles to dealer standards, prioritizing speed and quality.

Responsibilities include repairs, maintenance, and documenting findings, ensuring safe, frontline-ready inventory. A strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork with the recon/service teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
• Used-car reconditioning experience is a major plus.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Ability to inspect a vehicle and identify needed repairs without unnecessary over-repair.
• Good communication with management and parts personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical inspections on incoming used vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, brake, steering, HVAC, and drivability concerns.
• Perform maintenance and repairs needed to bring vehicles to dealership standards.
• Complete oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, tune-ups, fluid services, and other maintenance items.
• Identify safety concerns and necessary repairs quickly and accurately.
• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
