Generation Auto Group0in East Meadow, NY, is seeking a Used Car Technician for Autoworld Kia to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition used and certified pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards before sale.

You will perform multi-point inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance, including NYS inspections, ensuring road-ready vehicles and accurate documentation for management and customers.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid and clean drivers license.
• New York State Inspectors License required or in-hand.
• Own a complete set of mechanic tools and toolbox.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and dealership software (DMS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and recondition used and certified pre-owned vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspections and identify mechanical/electrical issues.
• Complete repairs to meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Perform New York State inspections.
• Document inspections and repairs; ensure road-ready vehicles for sale.
• Test-drive to verify repairs and performance.
• Communicate findings and delays to management promptly.
