Job summary

Mid Michigan Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Delivery Associate to pack and distribute USDA food across multiple distribution sites.

You will maintain inventory, supervise volunteers, drive a box truck, and ensure safe vehicle and equipment operations within a 12-county region. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a Michigan CDL, forklift certification (or progress within 30 days), and DOT physical.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience driving a box truck preferred.
• Current Michigan Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Forklift certification or ability to pass within 30 days.
• Annual DOT physical exam.
• USDA Civil Rights training completion.
• Proficient in Outlook & Internet.

Responsibilities

• Pack and deliver USDA food to customers at distribution sites.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of food.
• Provide quality professional customer service at all times.
• Receive, unload, inventory, and store USDA food shipments.
• Safely operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Open product and set up packing line for USDA food boxes.
• Oversee volunteers who assist with distribution.
• Drive box trucks to distribution sites across a 12-county region.
• Load food boxes into vehicles for customers.
• Deliver USDA food to partner food pantries.
• Maintain and clean vehicles daily; perform refuel and fluid checks.
• Complete equipment safety checks and reports.
• Clean warehouse and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory count and FIFO reconciliation.
• Receive and process Clare County Food Pantry donations.
• Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities as identified.
