Job summary

America’s Heartland Packing is opening a beef processing operation in Wright City, Missouri. The role involves slaughter preparation tasks and careful handling of internal organs to maintain product integrity and safety.

Qualified applicants will work in a humid, hot environment around moving equipment, following strict PPE and sanitary protocols. Training on kosher handling and cross-contamination prevention is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in humid, hot, wet, slippery areas around moving equipment with PPE.
• Experience in manufacturing or beef plants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove exposed stomach and paunch without rupturing the stomach.
• Remove stomach, intestines, liver, and pluck.
• Kosher cattle handling and rabbi tag management.
• Maintain cleanliness by rinsing apron and hands.
• Operate knives and sanitizers while avoiding cross contamination.
• Adhere to safety, food safety, and sanitary dress procedures.
• May perform other duties as needed.

Job Summary

The Gutter is the process of removing the internal organs from the carcass. The gutters are responsible for the clean evisceration of cattle which includes removing the paunch and the pluck from the internal body cavity of the beef carcass.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove exposed stomach by pulling bung and then pushing down on paunch; take care not to rupture the stomach.
• Remove stomach/intestines, liver, and pluck.
• Kosher cattle, rabbi tag is removed and put on lung.
• Rinse apron and hands.
• Steel knife, then place knife in sanitizer, remove second knife from sterilizer and begin procedure on next animal.
• Knives cannot be sterilized first and then sharpened due to cross contamination from steel.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or moving surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
• Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
• Previous agriculture production/ beef plant experience.
