American Foods Group in Wright City, MO is seeking a Lead person to provide direction and support to ensure all tasks and objectives are completed successfully.

The role emphasizes department oversight, safe use of hooks and knives to dress carcasses, sanitation, and timely communication with staff to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery environment around moving equipment with PPE.
• Preferred: manufacturing or heavy machinery experience.
• Be able to stand for lengthy periods and maintain a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of all tasks within a department.
• Using tools such as a hook, knife and equipment to safely and properly dress carcasses.
• Communicate with employees and management to quickly and effectively resolve production issues or concerns.
• If contamination is present, use a hook and knife to remove any visible contamination.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or moving surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
• Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
• Previous agriculture production/ beef plant experience.
