Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a part-time Training Instructor for Freedom Boat Club to onboard and train members through classroom and on-the-water sessions. The role emphasizes customer-focused delivery and safety compliance while representing the club in marina settings.

The candidate should hold a US Coast Guard Captain's License, have boating experience, and be able to work at least three shifts weekly including weekends.

Qualifications

• US Coast Guard Captain's license required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Boating experience around boats.
• Ability to read handheld tablets and operate related devices.
• Strong communication and friendly customer service skills.
• Self-starter capable of working unsupervised.
• Available to work through end of season, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome new members.
• Organize and conduct member classroom and on-the-water training on various skills, policies, and compliance.
• Identify areas where additional training is needed and beneficial.
• Record training certifications in Reservation system.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform.
• Handle minor member mishaps maintaining a friendly disposition.
• Promote the Club to potential members and explain benefits.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
