Bordelon Marine Personnel LLC seeks a USCG-licensed engineer to join our offshore crew in Houma, LA. The ideal candidate has experience with diesel-electric propulsion, DP vessels, and offshore operations, ensuring vessel safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.

You will operate, maintain, and repair propulsion and auxiliary systems, supervise engine room personnel, and coordinate with the bridge and shoreside management. A strong offshore track record and USCG compliance are essential.

Formación

• USCG Engineer License (DDE Unlimited, 3rd Assistant Engineer, or higher) with OICEW.
• TWIC, MMC, STCW, and Medical Certificate are required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel-electric propulsion and DP systems.
• Experience on offshore supply or specialty vessels.
• Excellent troubleshooting and team leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain, and repair all onboard mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems.
• Ensure compliance with USCG regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
• Respond promptly and effectively to equipment malfunctions and emergencies.
• Supervise and support unlicensed engine room personnel.
• Communicate clearly with the bridge and shoreside management regarding engineering issues.
• Participate in safety meetings, drills, and company training programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in diesel-electric propulsion systems, dynamic positioning (DP) vessels, and offshore operations. This role is critical to maintaining vessel safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and repair all onboard mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems
• Ensure compliance with USCG regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory
• Respond promptly and effectively to equipment malfunctions and emergencies

Qualifications:

• Experience working on offshore supply or specialty vessels
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work an even-time (28/28 or 21/21) rotational schedule
